The Woodway Town Council voted unanimously July 7 to approve Ordinance 2025-669, which assumes the rights, powers, functions and obligations of the Woodway Transportation Benefit District pursuant to RCW 36.74 and amends Woodway Municipal Code chapter 8.01 with an amended Exhibit A. Councilmember John Brock moved for approval and Councilmember Elizabeth Mitchell seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
Mayor Mike Quinn opened a public hearing on the topic earlier in the meeting and Town Administrator Eric Faison gave a brief presentation; no members of the public offered comments during the hearing. The ordinance package, as adopted, directs staff to incorporate the Transportation Benefit District functions into town code and the town’s administrative framework.
