Volunteers praised after Craig Hill Estates planting; board seeks more help for ongoing projects

"The planting at Craig Hill Estates was by and large a success, mostly thanks to the members of the tree board," the Chair said, and invited members to continue recruiting volunteers and to consider small weekend work sessions for weeding and maintenance. The board emphasized the importance of follow-up watering and monitoring, noting mulch distribution looked good and trees received adequate post-planting irrigation.
Members noted that consistent volunteer engagement is needed at some sites (e.g., Craig Hill, Willingham Knowles) and that the board will continue to maintain a recruitment list and coordinate with Parks to identify suitable open planting areas and schedules.
