Council adopts multiple city-initiated CBD rezonings to align zoning map

City Planner Melissa Dardio Harris presented a city-initiated zoning-cleanup that proposed rezoning several city parcels to the Central Business District (CBD) to match the future land use map. Harris told the council the parcels were being rezoned for consistency and that no immediate development was planned: “Typically, from time to time, when we have the opportunity to do some cleanup in our zoning map, we take that opportunity to do so.”
Council moved to suspend successive readings and placed Ordinance Nos. 88-03 through 88-05 on final passage; roll-call votes recorded ayes and the ordinances were approved. Planning staff will update the zoning map and record the ordinances.
