Staff listed venues including the fairgrounds, Kearney Sportsplex, Ernest Grundy Tennis Center, Harmon Park Pool and the Big Apple Senior Center, and said seasonal staff of about 75 help run events. "We have hosted the senior games in Nebraska for the past 38 years," the staff member said.
Council members encouraged residents to participate; staff confirmed the games are for people 50 and older, registration opens May 15, and qualifying events will send winners to national competition in Tulsa later this year.
