HARRISON — The Harrison City Council agreed May 14 to hold a workshop on May 21, 2025 at 4:00 PM to review proposed changes to the city’s building-permit application and supporting materials.
The Public Works and Administration Committee reported that it had reviewed permit formats from other municipalities and emphasized the "importance of having a checklist and a cover page," recommending the council consider similar changes for Harrison’s forms. The committee cited the City of Coeur d'Alene as an example that separates individual permits for siding, windows and new residential units.
The workshop is intended for councilmembers and staff to examine sample forms and create a recommended permit packet for the council to consider; the minutes do not record a formal motion or adoption of specific permit language during the May 14 meeting.
