Residents at the Castle Hill roundtable described mounting financial strain as the cost of groceries, utilities and other household expenses rise, calling those pressures a primary concern for families.
"Others highlighted the financial strain of paying for everyday essentials, saying the soaring cost of groceries, utilities, and other household expenses is making it increasingly difficult for families to get by," Britney Schuyler reported. Attendees linked economic stress to housing insecurity and urged more resources for families facing affordability challenges.
Organizers said the roundtable was created so residents could bring those lived experiences to local leaders and press for solutions; the session did not produce specific funding commitments or programs.
