The Lone Oak Economic Development Corporation (EDC) reported several operational items at the Nov. 12 council meeting.
EDC President Wes Owen said their current website provider is closing; the EDC received a presentation from Revize (the same vendor the city uses) and will research service differences. EDC Treasurer Denise Scott reported the EDC account balance is $134,655.52. Owen said the EDC has identified potential economic growth leads, including interest from a Quinlan business, Hot Dog Diggity, whose owner is considering relocation and may seek to add alcohol service.
Owen said he contacted the city attorney to ask whether the EDC needs a resolution to pay part of the Magnolia Street Sewer Project and is waiting for a response.
