City of Nevada says ARPA-backed Trailside project to yield more LMI homes

Jordan Cook of the City of Nevada told the board the Trailside infrastructure project funded in part by Story County ARPA dollars has produced four houses that have been sold and will add eight additional units after demolition of a donated building.
Cook said the project was originally anticipated to include 51% low‑ and moderate‑income (LMI) units but that the developer and partners now expect the additional houses to be 100% LMI. Supervisors voiced support and appreciation for the city's partnership in using ARPA funds to expand affordable housing.
