The Lubbock County WCID No. 1 Board of Directors approved a temporary change to its monthly meeting time, shifting meetings from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. for two consecutive quarters beginning April 2025 and ending September 2025. President Kade Garner moved the change and Director Ashley Ramirez seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
The change is intended as a trial to determine whether an evening start improves attendance; the board said it will re-evaluate after the two-quarter period. Kristy Doss and Tom Keisling were recognized and given two minutes each to speak during the discussion on meeting time.
