Public works staff told the board that a contract for the Junction Road/Shoulderstone work was awarded to Martin in the amount of $43,230 and that contracts were being signed that evening.
Public works supervisor (S5) said the contractor "got awarded" the work for $43,230 and that staff had checked with Dale but did not yet have a start date. The board was told that as soon as signed contracts are returned, the contractor will schedule work. Trustee (S4) and others asked procedural questions about bid documentation and agenda language; members asked staff to confirm dollar amounts and whether the resolution on Oct. 14 referred to the work or engineering services.
Board members asked staff to confirm the procurement record and follow up by email to the trustee who raised the question.
