Board agrees to front funding for Rescue Squad equipment pending RSFA grant reimbursement

Trey Pyle said the RSFA award covers eligible reimbursement of $73,713.12 and that the total project cost is $1,142,488.49; the rescue squad will provide local match funds from EMS levy allocations. Staff recommended proceeding with a budget supplement so the squad can purchase ZOLL cardiac monitors and Lucas CPR devices, and to return reimbursements to the county when received.
A motion to approve the request and provide initial funding was moved and seconded; roll-call votes recorded a unanimous carry. Staff emphasized the county would be reimbursed and that existing local match funding would cover the local share if reimbursement differs from award amounts.
