The council authorized the city manager to negotiate and execute contract number 25‑001 with Texas Multi Chem Ltd., not to exceed $64,205 through cooperative contract 705‑23, to provide fertilization, dethatching, aeration and other turf-care services at the Sportsplex and soccer complex.
Parks staff explained the schedule of applications and that outsourcing will free four full‑time staff to work across other parks. "The staff will only have to mow and mark the fields, period," the presenter said, explaining that professional maintenance will handle fertilization cycles, verticutting, aeration and spot spraying. Council voted to approve the contract after a short discussion and positive remarks from council about field quality.
