During the public-comment period, Adebo Wali (who also gave the name Joshua Adekoli) spoke on behalf of Guardian Tech Alliance and offered free educational awareness training for families on cybersecurity threats affecting children.
Wali described rising harms such as human trafficking, cyberbullying and sextortion and said prevention through parental education is preferable to seeking cures after incidents occur. "It's free training because I'm a father," he said, urging the city and school district to help advertise and host sessions so families can learn to monitor and protect children using mobile phones.
