Public-works update: Brozick Street sidewalk design, TxDOT project stalled by railroad, Mini Street grant contract under review

Matthew Julien, the city's project superintendent, briefed the council on capital-improvement work in progress, including a permanent sidewalk on Brozick Street and delays on a TxDOT sidewalk project because of railroad coordination.
Julien said GLS will handle design and construction for the permanent south-side sidewalk at the Brozick pedestrian bridge and that TxDOT is coordinating with a railroad before contractors can start on West Washington. He said the Mini Street project contract tied to a TDA grant has been returned to the contractor and is now with the city's legal team; staff estimated both projects could start by the end of March or the beginning of April.
