Board appoints Louis Charvet as Roosevelt Elementary principal

Following a personnel vote, the board appointed Louis Charvet as principal of Roosevelt Elementary School. Superintendent Mary Foxhalter said the appointment followed an administrator (Katie Mignana Castellano) accepting a new job outside the area and thanked her for service; the board then approved Charvet for the Roosevelt post.

Foxhalter introduced Charvet and invited him to speak. In brief remarks Charvet thanked the superintendent, the board and colleagues, saying, "I would like to extend my most sincere gratitude for tonight to our superintendent of schools, Missus Foxhalter, the board of education, and everyone else that was part of this decision making in allowing me to lead the Roosevelt School." He acknowledged family and colleagues in attendance and expressed enthusiasm for working with Roosevelt students and staff.

Foxhalter and board members praised Charvet's prior experience and noted that the district will provide transition supports. No additional personnel details beyond the appointment were discussed publicly during the meeting.
