Bonner County's airports director recommended awarding the contract for a snow removal equipment storage building at Priest River Airport to Idean Homes LLC for $797,384.35, contingent on receiving the FAA AIP grant associated with the project.
"If awarded, this contract amount of $797,384.35 is contingent upon receiving the FAA AIP grant associated with this project," Dave Shook said, noting the FAA concurrence letter is included in the packet. Shook told commissioners the local share is about $20,000 and that auditing reviewed the match; commissioners discussed previous bid cycles, specification changes and market pressures that affected bids.
The board approved the contingent award by motion and roll call. One commissioner noted frustration that rebidding had produced higher numbers, but auditing confirmed the local match is covered in the airport budget.
