Public Works advisory commission reviews water reuse, new tank and stormwater projects

Cherki and Wimpey summarized recently finished work — a nearly complete water tank and supporting booster station, abandonment of two small canal companies, and phase work on neighborhood stormwater improvements. They highlighted a partnership with Central Utah Water on a reuse feasibility study and said options include land application, augmentation of supplies or advanced treatment that could return reuse to potable distribution.
Wimpey and staff also discussed the bike skills park (phase 3), playground and multi‑sport court projects and noted upcoming well work and bonding to support drilling at Well Number 11 and other system upgrades. Staff said the reuse and tank projects are intended to diversify the city's water supply and increase resilience in the event of seismic or other supply disruptions.
