Village Manager Gary Copeland told council the annual lead testing results for 21 residents were the best the Village has received, and he attributed the improvement to recent OPWC projects that replaced old water mains and to upgrades in the disinfection system.
"These are the best results the Village has ever received," Chief Copeland said. He credited the work completed through OPWC-funded projects for reducing lead risk in the distribution system. Council received the report for review; no immediate action was required other than continued monitoring and public notice procedures.
