Mayor Rod Westbroek told the council the Public Works Department has settled into the new facility and staff identified items in the old shop as obsolete or redundant that are not needed elsewhere in the city.
Councilwoman Angie Petty moved to approve Resolution 26-07 to declare the listed Public Works items surplus; Councilman Blair Halverson seconded. The council voted by roll call (four ayes) and the motion carried. The items will be disposed of according to current city policy, and the old shop building will be sold.
