Council authorizes negotiation of amendment as developer agrees to install sewer plant and transfer permit

City Manager Matt McMahan told council that the developer, HMH Caddo Mills Land, LP (History Maker Homes), would put in a new sewer plant and that the permit would be transferred to the City as part of the First Amendment to the Development Agreement. Mayor Pro Tem John Verity moved to authorize the City Manager to negotiate and execute the amendment; Council Member Justin Poppelreiter seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
The council's authorization will enable staff to finalize terms ensuring the new sewer plant and permit transfer occur under the amended agreement; further contract documents will be returned to council as required.
