"There are a couple different times when we're talking about the chief executive officer as defined by the state... part of the times, it lists the mayor as that chief executive officer. Other times, it lists you, the city manager," he said, adding that names were misspelled in places (the draft lists "List Smith"). He moved to postpone the measure "for however long it takes to get a new 1 finished," and the motion to continue was seconded and carried.
Council members asked staff for a careful proofread and for clarification of which notification platforms (e.g., IPAWS vs. others) the city will use. Several members emphasized the importance of finalizing a single, internally consistent public version of the plan and suggested providing both public and restricted versions if needed for operational details.
