Commission OKs Dirt Rebelution off-road race on county roads, Aug. 28–30

The Iron County Commission approved use of county roads for the Dirt Rebelution off-road event scheduled Aug. 28–30, 2026.
Donald Jackson of Legacy Racing Association described the event as the group's sixth annual race, with registration and pre-run/checks on Aug. 28 and the race on Aug. 29 over a roughly 60-mile loop. Jackson said the event had about 175 entries, that organizers would provide insurance and medical staff, and that volunteers would have radio and cell-phone communications for coordination with Iron County emergency services. He said their goal was to "leave the area better than when they came" and to repair roads to county standards when necessary.
Commissioners approved the request by motion (Paul Cozzens moved; Michael Bleak seconded) with all voting Aye.
