The Burton City Council accepted a consent agenda that included the Nov. 12, 2025 regular meeting minutes, revenue and expenditure financial reports, and attached reports from the mayor, city secretary and utilities. Councilmember Paul McLaughlin moved and Councilmember Tommie Gilmon seconded to accept the consent agenda; the minutes record 'FOR: Eckhardt, Tidwell' and 'AGAINST: None.'
Council also approved the proposed 2026 City of Burton holiday schedule (federal and TMLIRP based paid holidays including New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas holidays). A motion to approve the schedule was made by Councilmember Paul McLaughlin and seconded by Councilmember Tommie Gilmon; the minutes record 'FOR: Eckhardt, Tidwell' and 'AGAINST: None.' The meeting adjourned at 6:44 p.m.
