Highland Falls boards approve new hires, pay adjustment and DPW appointment

Council Member Leahy moved to hire Lorie Graziano effective Sept. 1, 2026 at $20.40 per hour; Council Member King seconded and the motion carried.
The Town board also approved an amendment to the salary schedule setting the part‑time Dial A Bus driver rate at $20.40 per hour and then approved hiring retiring employee Debbie McCabe as a part‑time Dial A Bus driver at the same rate beginning July 7, 2026. On the village side, Trustee Peter Carroll moved to appoint Matthew Troy as full‑time DPW Working Leader effective July 2, 2026, with a maximum 52‑week probation at $32.2115 per hour; Trustee Ramus seconded the motion and it passed.
Trustee Jennifer Gargiulo moved to appoint Joseph Schmidt to the Consolidated Zoning Board of Appeals to fill an open seat through Dec. 31, 2028; Trustee Carroll seconded and the motion carried. The boards concluded these actions without recorded opposition.
