Committee approves resolution to advance landfill facility plan to county board

The Solid Waste Committee voted to approve a resolution recommending the county adopt the facility plan for the Adams County Sanitary Landfill and include it in the county's Clean Water Fund application. Committee members moved and seconded the resolution and approved it by voice vote.
Committee members were told the resolution is the committee-level approval necessary before the plan goes to the county board. The committee's approval does not by itself authorize construction or spending beyond existing budgeted work; it advances the plan so it can be finalized, incorporated into the Sept. 30 application and considered by the county board.
