On Feb. 10 the Calvert City Council adopted a comprehensive civil-rights resolution establishing policies that the city will use to administer state and federal grants. The resolution includes a Citizen Participation Plan, Grievance Procedures, Section 3 policies, an Excessive Force Policy, Limited English Proficiency (LEP) Standards, Section 504 procedures, a Code of Conduct and a Fair Housing Policy.
Council Member Walston moved to adopt the resolution; Council Member Crabtree seconded and the motion passed with all present voting in favor. City staff will publish the policies as required by grant terms and incorporate them into grant-administration procedures.
