Daviess County's Central Dispatch asked the commissioners to approve an annual maintenance renewal with CallWorks/Motorola to preserve service and technical response for the county's 911 equipment.
Julie Riker described the renewal as the dispatch center's yearly agreement to keep equipment covered. "With this agreement, if anything goes wrong, a technician is sent out to fix it and make sure the system is operational," she said. Commissioners moved, seconded and voted unanimously to approve the renewal.
Dispatch staff said the contract supports system uptime and that renewal is part of routine operations. There was no discussion of alternative vendors or contract pricing in the public meeting record.
