Planning commission clears multiple building, utility and solar permits

The Oxford Planning Commission approved a batch of building and utility permits at its June 30 meeting, including interior remodels that do not change building footprints, driveway material replacements and a residential roof-mounted solar installation.
"The applications for the installation of a solar power system comprised of 14 roof mounted panels on the front of the single family residential structure," the Chair read, noting that the electrical connection will require a separate electrical permit. Commissioners approved the building-component applications for the solar work and moved to accept other items on the packet, including an after-the-fact plumbing repair at 111 South Morris to fix a 0.75-inch water service line and an emergency HVAC replacement at 210 East Pierce Street described as a like-for-like Carrier unit replacement. Staff and applicants were present for several items and members recorded unanimous 'Aye' votes on the listed permits.
