Daviess County Clerk Lauren Milton told commissioners on July 28 that the county has funding in place for two vote-center locations and asked the board to authorize signatures on the contracts.
"She has the funding for this Vote Center location, a signature is just needed," Milton said regarding the Conservation Club site; the board approved that contract and, in the same motion sequence, approved the Ruritan vote-center contract. Commissioners moved and voted unanimously to authorize execution of both agreements.
Milton did not provide additional operational details in the meeting about staffing or hours; those logistical details are handled through the clerk's office as the election dates approach.
