The Oxford Planning Commission voted unanimously June 30 to adopt the town's 2045 Comprehensive Plan and sign Resolution No. 26-02PC for transmission to the county commissioners and the state.
"We will then adopt it and forward it to the commissioners for their submission to the state," the Chair said while reading the resolution. The commission noted the plan reflects public participation and revisions from March through November 2025 and cites compliance steps including submission to adjoining jurisdictions and the Maryland Department of Planning pursuant to Maryland Code Annotated, Article 66B ' 303.07(c). The Chair summarized the resolution text and the clerk read that a copy of the plan dated 03/24/2026 is attached and incorporated by reference. A commissioner moved to approve the resolution and the Chair seconded; members responded "Aye." The commission directed staff to transmit the signed resolution to the county commissioners for their consideration and onward filing with the state.
