Burton approves spay-and-neuter assistance program with local vet clinic

The council approved a City of Burton Feral & Pet Spay & Neuter Program in partnership with Burton Veterinary Clinic. Councilmember Paul McLaughlin moved to approve the program and Councilmember Jeff Eckhardt seconded; the minutes record the motion passed with 'FOR: Tidwell' and 'AGAINST: None.' Mayor Karen Buck and Dr. Brandon Schulte were recorded as coordinating on final program details. The program packet includes an application form and eligibility criteria, including income-based and proactive resident program categories.
