City Manager Joe Price asked the commission on June 16 to authorize a letter supporting continued intergovernmental cooperation by the combined Potter‑Randall Appraisal District board following recent discussions about potential separation. Price said staff believe preserving the current partnership is in the best interest of taxpayers and recommended transmitting a joint letter encouraging the district to remain combined while supporting constructive dialogue among the boards.
The commission voted unanimously to authorize the Mayor to sign and transmit the attached letter (or a similar letter) asking that the combined Potter‑Randall Appraisal District continue its current level of intergovernmental cooperation.
