Planning and Development Director Dustin Meyer presented information to initiate a discussion about annexing properties in the City's extraterritorial jurisdiction that already have existing uses, structures and development patterns. Meyer said staff will work through the process with the City Commission and the Planning and Zoning Commission to develop policy direction.
The commission received the presentation and offered preliminary direction but took no formal action. Staff will return with policy options and draft language for future consideration if the commission requests further steps.
