Cranmer said the CEDC board approved the funding proposal and held a June 11 public hearing with no opposition.
Because this was the first of two required readings, no final action was taken. Cranmer told the commission the funds would be disbursed over a five‑year period; the resolution will return for a second reading at a future meeting per statutory requirements.
