Commissioners add $7,500 to hog abatement program; approve septic repairs and trash-site work

Leon County’s Commissioners Court added $7,500 from contingency to its hog abatement program on July 14, 2025; the motion was made by Commissioner Kyle Workman and seconded by Commissioner T. J. Foley. The court also approved expenditures to clear and fence the trash site on Highway 7 north of Centerville with funds to come from Capital Projects line item 58 (motion carried).
Separately, the court approved a bid from Greg Long for septic system inspections and/or repairs at the Expo, provided Mr. Long signs the proper bid form. These actions were recorded in the minutes as motions carried for the listed items.
