Leon County appoints tax assessor-collector to calculate no-new-revenue and rollback rates; preliminary budget set for Aug. 11

At the July 14, 2025 session, the Commissioners Court appointed Leon County Tax Assessor-Collector Victoria Willis to calculate the no-new-revenue tax rate (effective) and the voter-approval (rollback) rate for tax year 2025, with the results to be presented at the July 28 meeting. Commissioner T. J. Foley made the motion and Commissioner Paul Bing seconded; the minutes record the motion as carried.
The court also announced that the preliminary budget will be presented on August 11, 2025. The minutes do not include the calculated rates or the proposed budget amounts; those figures are expected to appear in subsequent materials when the Assessor-Collector presents them to the court.
