During the hearing City Manager Ricky Tow described the structure as a finished carport and noted the Planning and Zoning Commission had recommended a 10-foot front-yard variance as the maximum their recommendation would allow. Mr. Lara presented photographs of the completed structure and "asked that the Council grant the 12’2" variance as requested." Council Member Pratt moved to approve the 12'2" variance; the motion carried unanimously.
The council took no further action to require removal or modification of the structure. The council did not specify conditions or timelines tied to the variance during the meeting; any permit or follow-up enforcement was not discussed on the record.
