Resident urges fix after Adams Avenue work left steep drop-off

Resident Lekethia Sims told the Cameron Economic Development Corporation that recent Adams Avenue road work created a dangerous steep incline immediately in front of her property and that her home "was shaken by the road work." She said the project did not restore her yard "the way it was," that the silt fence killed her grass, and she and her husband are seeking input from a foundation company.
Ginger Watkins agreed to notify Sims of the final project walkthrough. Board members discussed site constraints — including a lowered roadbed of about 4 feet in front of Sims's home and utility poles in the right-of-way — and noted engineering had not taken documented pre-construction photographs. The board took no immediate action and indicated they would learn more after the engineering walkthrough.
