Commission considers two road-list changes: Jearoldstown Access added; Little Brook Lane removal introduced

Two road-list actions were introduced during the April 20 meeting on first reading and recorded for subsequent consideration.
Resolution F would remove the end portion (0.16 mile) of Little Brook Lane from Greene County’s official Road List while leaving 0.06 mile on the list for county maintenance. The resolution also authorizes a quitclaim of a 0.36-acre parcel that includes the removed portion to property owner John T. Wells. The item came to the Commission from the Road Committee, which had previously considered the petition and recommended the partial removal.
Resolution G proposes adding Jearoldstown Access — 1,200 feet of roadway built as an I‑81 access during interstate construction — to the official Greene County Road List. County materials note a 1971 action in which Greene County agreed to accept interstate-access roads constructed as part of the I‑81 project. County Attorney Roger A. Woolsey explained the legal background and recommended adding Jearoldstown Access to the list; the first-reading motion passed on the floor for consideration.
Both items are recorded as first readings and will return for final adoption or further committee consideration in accord with county ordinance and notice requirements.
