Town of Stark closes on 2-acre sand-and-salt site; authorizes Eagle Associates contract pending attorney changes

Supervisor Bronner told the Town of Stark board that the town closed on a 2-acre parcel for a sand-and-salt barn and that the deed and payment were recorded with Herkimer County. He said the town is approved by State Financial Systems as a member and eligible to receive related funding.
Jerry Stucchi of JGK Associates will serve as a consultant to help apply for the grant and Bronner scheduled a meeting for Oct. 20, 2025 with Matt Donahue of Eagle Associates, Stucchi, Superintendent Hajczewski and Town Clerk Smith to advance the project. The town received a proposed contract from Eagle Associates; the town attorney raised questions about paragraphs 19 and 26 and Councilman Jordan moved to authorize Supervisor Bronner to sign the contract provided the town attorney’s suggested changes to those paragraphs are made. Councilman Voght seconded and the motion carried by vote.
The board discussed next steps for the grant application and contract review. Bronner said he would pursue the attorney’s clarifications and follow up with the consultants at the Oct. 20 meeting. "We are finished and closed on the property," Bronner stated when summarizing the acquisition.
