Board liaisons and members used their reports to highlight community partnerships, staffing efforts and support for students.
Ally thanked the IT department for work on the Infinite Campus rollout and acknowledged the Brainberger family's loss and the school's counseling support. Dr. Steiner earlier had noted the district connected roughly "10 or 12 FPS people" to help families register in Infinite Campus.
Board members described local events: Nikki attended a new teacher welcome and said she was reappointed North Dakota state legislative chair for PTA; Robin reported on a Dakota High School liaison visit and said the school serves roughly "240 to 250 a year" with about "30 homeless students" among those it supports. Jason and Kristen praised Trollwood board night and the volunteer support that makes productions possible.
The chair closed with calendar reminders — the staff opener on August 20 at Davies, the North Dakota School Board Association conference Oct. 8–9 — and adjourned the meeting at 05:59 PM.
