At its July 13 meeting, the Canyon ISD Board approved the May financial report and the quarterly investment report after a presentation by Chief Financial Officer Lela Vela. Both motions passed unanimously (6 in favor). The minutes reference detailed budget figures in the packet showing total general-fund expenditures listed as $118,324,699 for the presented year versus $112,397,306 previously — an increase of $5,927,393 in the summary table included in the board materials.
The board packet included enrollment and WADA figures (Student Enrollment 11,492 rising to 11,645; Weighted Average Daily Attendance from 13,593.906 to 14,157.228) and a breakdown of revenues and expenditures across instruction, instructional support, district operations and other categories. The record does not show any dissent on the financial approvals; the minutes do not include further line-item debate or projections for tax rates or fund balance changes.
