The council agreed to schedule a joint workshop on Monday, Aug. 3 at 10 a.m. to discuss potential upgrades to the town’s water meters and a proposed Neptune 360 monitoring tower on the existing water tower. Chief Swistek said Superintendent Austin Ashcraft requested the session and that representatives from Neptune and Utility Supply would be invited to present.
The workshop is intended to review current meter technology and options for future monitoring. Councilmembers were offered two possible times and selected the morning slot to accommodate vendor presentations and Public Works committee participation.
