Council authorizes president to sign CCMG grant financial commitment for Lakeshore Drive project

Chief Swistek told the council that Haas & Associates is preparing required documents for a CCMG grant application for the Lakeshore Drive Roadway Improvement Plan and that a Financial Commitment letter for a 20% local match should arrive in the coming weeks. Anita Remijas moved that President Joy Schmitt sign the commitment letter, Cindy Levy seconded, and the motion passed with council approval.
Swistek said Haas is assembling application documents to submit to the Indiana Department of Transportation. The commitment will obligate the town to provide a 20% local match for phase 1 of the project if the grant application proceeds.
