Selectboard reviews facility-use policy, flag bracket plan, budget hearing dates and EC Fiber vacancy

The Selectboard reviewed the latest revisions to the Town Facility Use Policy and discussed remaining questions such as maximum capacity for the Newbury Center Town House and security deposit amounts; no final action was recorded on policy items.
By consensus the Board agreed to install a flag bracket on the side of the Town Office immediately and to include money for a flag pole in next year’s budget after discussing an unauthorized flag on the roof. The Board confirmed 2027 budget hearing dates (Jan. 2, Jan. 5, Jan. 12), and received notice that Chip Conquest is stepping down as Newbury’s representative on the EC Fiber board, creating two vacancies to be posted on the Town website.
