Newbury Rec. readies activities, volunteers for West Newbury parade and summer event

The committee outlined plans for a summer community event connected to the West Newbury parade. Brittanny Pratte will purchase ice, dish soap and popsicles and collect a portable water cooler from the Townhouse. Setup for activities (slip-n-slide and capture-the-flag) is scheduled for 9:45 a.m. on Saturday, with participants then meeting at the Adkins House at 10:15 a.m. to line up for the parade.
Brittanny and Dave will meet with Kayce on Aug. 5 to inspect fields for activity setup. Erin and Brittanny will collect equipment from the Recreation Committee storage closet on Aug. 7, including hulahoops, pinnies, cones, a medical kit, Purell, two soccer flags, pens, and paper.
