Stark board authorizes Eagle Associates contract for Magnum building; town expects $500,000 grant

Supervisor Bronner told the board that Eagle Associates has confirmed the construction quote for the Magnum building first given in March 2025 remains $516,699. Bronner said the town is "in line to receive $500,000 worth of grant" toward the project and described a plan to develop the property this fall and winter so it would be ready next spring. The board voted to allow the Supervisor to sign the construction contract after closing and then voted a second time to make the contract binding with Eagle Associates; both motions passed on roll-call votes with all members voting in favor.
Councilman Hubiak moved to submit the contract and Councilman Gerhardt seconded; council members asked that closing precede execution of the construction agreement. The board recorded unanimous support and instructed the Supervisor to proceed with closing, contract execution and coordination of grant paperwork once available.
