After closed session, Committee approves higher starting step for Community Health Supervisor
Summary
Following closed-session consideration, the Committee rejected an initial placement at Grade L step 9 and instead approved placement at Grade L step 10 with the ability to move to step 11 in six months at the department head's discretion.
The Executive Committee considered employee compensation for the Community Health Supervisor in closed session and finalized its decision in open session on July 29.
A first motion (Holewinski/Cushing) to place the Community Health Supervisor at Grade L step 9 with the ability to move to Grade L step 10 in six months failed when members voted "Nay." A second motion (Fried/Condado) to adjust compensation to Grade L step 10 with the ability to move to Grade L step 11 in six months at the department head's discretion passed by unanimous vote. Chairman Billy Fried announced there were no motions made while in closed session; the actions were taken after returning to open session.
The Committee recorded roll-call votes to enter and exit closed session under Section 19.85(1)(c), Wisconsin Statutes, and adjourned the meeting at 10:34 a.m.
