Committee approves extra WIC LTE hours after staff medical leave

Public Health Director Linda Conlon told the Committee the WIC clerk has been on major medical leave and staff used an LTE to cover duties. Conlon requested an additional 276 hours for the LTE — increasing the LTE annual maximum to 726 hours — and said the hours are fully funded by the WIC program. HR Director Jenni Lueneburg noted the leave includes a significant amount of unpaid time and the WIC funding would offset that gap.
The Committee approved the request by motion (Condado/Cushing) and the vote was recorded as unanimous. The increased LTE hours are authorized and will be charged to WIC funds.
