Committee ranks 2027 capital projects, forwards list to Executive Committee

Oneida County’s Solid Waste Committee reviewed proposed changes to the 2026 and 2027 capital improvement projects and approved a revised ranking on July 27, 2026. Director Lisa Bauknecht recommended moving the Hook Truck purchase into 2027, removing crack sealing from the list, and moving a new wheel loader into 2027 instead of 2028.
The committee adopted a ranked list of projects — (1) used Hook Truck, (2) blower/flare, (3) wheel loader, (4) pickup truck with plow — and voted to forward that ranked list to the County Executive Committee for further consideration. The motion to forward was made by Kyle Timmons and seconded by Chairman Ted Cushing; the committee recorded a unanimous voice vote.
